CHILLICOTHE, OH (June 25, 2024) – Adena Health is leading the charge in advancing vascular care in south central and southern Ohio through strategic growth, innovative practices, and a focus on patient-centered care.
The latest enhancement to their services includes the addition of two esteemed vascular surgeons, Dr. Rahul Kar and Dr. Vikram Rao, who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the team.
Dr. Vikram Rao, the new Medical Director for Vascular Surgery Services, has nearly 20 years of experience in the Cleveland area. He is board-certified in both general and vascular surgery. Dr. Rao earned his medical degree from Stanley Medical College in India, completed his residency at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, and completed fellowships in trauma surgery at Henry Ford Hospital and in vascular surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit.
Dr. Rahul Kar, previously a vascular surgeon in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., is returning to Ohio, where he earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency at New York-Presbyterian Queens and his fellowship at Loma Linda Medical Center in California.
Both surgeons are proficient in treating aortic disease, carotid disease, dialysis access, limb salvage, peripheral arterial disease, renal and mesenteric artery disease, and venous disease. They see their roles at Adena Health as a significant opportunity to offer modern vascular care to the community.
