Ashville Man Sentenced to 12 Months for Shots Fired in Circleville

PICKAWAY COUNTY, OH – Levi Garrett Karshner, 21, of 15026 Lockbourne Eastern Road, Ashville, OH, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison this week at the Pickaway County Jail. Karshner’s sentencing follows charges stemming from a shooting incident on February 1, 2024.

On that day, the Circleville Police Department Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street (Discount Grocery). Officers swiftly responded and initiated a thorough investigation, finding numerous individuals at the scene. Witnesses confirmed hearing several gunshots.

Through their investigation, officers identified the suspects involved in the shooting. Several suspects were apprehended at the scene, while additional suspects were located and arrested at 817 Kingston Court.

Search warrants executed during the investigation uncovered substantial incriminating evidence. Authorities seized six firearms, various calibers of ammunition, and a significant amount of marijuana and THC cartridges.

Karshner faced multiple charges, including Felony 2 Felonious Assault, Felony 3 Discharge of a Firearm on or Near Prohibited Premises, and Felony 4 Improper Handling of a Firearm.
