Update Arrested for Assault and Kidnapping Suspect in Ross County

Ross County, Ohio – Authorities arrested a man involved in a domestic situation earlier Thursday in Ross County, who fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The incident unfolded Thursday afternoon when authorities received a distress call reporting a stabbing incident at a residence on Sulfur Lick Road. Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered that the suspect had already departed.

Identified as Daniel Rhoden by Ross County officials, the suspect is believed to have left the scene forcibly with another individual. The authorities have launched a manhunt to locate him.

This vehicle is reported stolen. The suspect is Daniel Rhoden. Mr. Rhoden is a 40 year old, white male.

It was reported that he had taken a woman against her will.

Rhoden is reported to have fled in a 2007 light blue Mercury Marque 4 door, around 3 pm yesterday both the woman and the vehicle were found but without Mr. Rhoden who was was last seen in Wavery at that time

As of 11 am on Friday Ross County sheriff reported that they had captured Rhoden in Chillicothe and he now is being held in Ross County Jail with charges of Charge: 2909.07 – Criminal Mischief; Bond – 10%, $500.00; Charge: 2903.13 – Assault; Bond – 10%, $5000.00
