CHILLICOTHE, OH – June 13, 2024 – Get ready for a dazzling display of trucking excellence as Kenworth Truck Company hosts its annual Kenworth Truck Parade in historic downtown Chillicothe. This year’s event promises to be the biggest yet, featuring over 50 new, classic, and customized Kenworth semi-trucks.
Kenworth, a leader in the trucking industry since 1923, celebrated the roll-out of its first truck from the Chillicothe assembly line in March 1974. Since then, the local plant has produced over 750,000 trucks. In 2019, Kenworth expanded its operations with a $140 million investment in a new 120,000-square-foot facility, including a $33 million robotic cab assembly cell.
The parade, showcasing many trucks originally built at the Chillicothe plant, will begin at dusk. Spectators are encouraged to line the streets to witness the impressive convoy, complete with mesmerizing custom lighting. Fans are invited to arrive early to shop and stay late for the after-party.
Since its inception in 2022, the Chillicothe truck parade has grown exponentially, attracting several popular and famous trucks from across the country. Professional drivers from the U.S. and Canada will participate, making this year’s parade a truly spectacular event.
