Police Raid Uncovers Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Firearms in Lancaster

Lancaster, Ohio – April 30, 2024 – The South-Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Lancaster Police Department and the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, executed a targeted search warrant on April 30, 2024, at 4970 Delmont Rd. in Lancaster. The operation, spurred by an investigation into drug trafficking activities, aimed to disrupt illicit narcotics distribution in the area.

During the search, law enforcement officers focused their attention on a camper situated on the property. The thorough inspection yielded a significant seizure, including over 220 grams of Methamphetamine, 15 grams of Fentanyl, assorted prescription drugs, $718 in cash, and a .380 caliber handgun.

As a result of the raid, Shay Marie Browning, 33, was apprehended on charges of probation violation and subsequently transported to the Fairfield County Jail. Authorities anticipate further charges stemming from the investigation, which will be forwarded to the Fairfield County Prosecutor’s Office for review and consideration at a later date.

This successful operation underscores the effectiveness of collaborative efforts between the South-Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit, local law enforcement agencies, and the community at large.
