Chillicothe, Ohio – On June 19, 2024, Deputy Rush conducted a traffic stop on a red Kia Optima with only one functioning headlight on Three Locks Rd. The driver, Roger Edgar Oney Jr, was found to have an expired registration and a suspended driver’s license. Upon further investigation, a loaded Sig Sauer P-226 firearm was found in the center console, improperly secured and accessible to the driver and passenger.

Roger was arrested for improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and was transported to the Ross County Jail. He was also issued citations for driving with an expired registration, driving under non-compliance suspension, and having only one functioning headlight.
