Weekly Construction Update for Pickaway County: Week of May 5, 2024

Delaware, Ohio (Thursday, May 2, 2024) – Pickaway County residents and commuters are advised to anticipate construction-related impacts on highways throughout the upcoming week. The following projects are scheduled, with all work contingent upon favorable weather conditions.

U.S. Route 23:

New Impacts

  • U.S. Route 23, spanning from N. Court St. to SR 316, will experience various daily lane restrictions commencing on Monday, May 6. These restrictions are expected to persist until Fall 2024 due to resurfacing efforts.

State Route 56:

Upcoming New Impacts

  • State Route 56, situated between SR 104 and U.S. 22, will undergo closure beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, and concluding at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 20. This closure is necessary for pavement repairs.Detour: Motorists are advised to utilize U.S. 22 to SR 104 to SR 56, or vice versa, during this closure period.

U.S. Route 22:

Continuing Impacts

  • U.S. Route 22, extending from SR 56 to Brookhill Ln., will maintain various daily lane restrictions between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. These restrictions, initially implemented on Thursday, April 18, will continue through Friday, May 10.

Affected individuals are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly and to exercise caution when traveling through construction zones. Updates on the progress of these projects will be provided as necessary.
