Deputies responded to Logan Horns Mill Rd. for an unruly child complaint. Deputies learned when they arrived that the juvenile had left home after a confrontation with a parent. The case was referred to Children’s Services for follow up.—–

A Bear Run Rd. resident came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report of illegal dumping. The complainant told deputies that they found several bags of trash and a couch on their property. The complainant provided deputies with several papers found in the trash. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies had the vehicle towed. Deputies made contact with the owner who told deputies that they had reported the vehicle stolen to Logan Police. —–

Deputies investigated a single vehicle crash on Sams Creek Rd. The driver lost control, over corrected and went off of the left side of the roadway before overturning. The driver fled the scene. The vehicle was impounded.—–

Deputies responded to a Sams Creek Rd. residence for a vehicle theft. The victim provided deputies a suspect. The vehicle was found crashed a short time later. The vehicle was processed for evidence to submit to the BCI crime lab for analysis. The case remains under investigation.—–

Deputies received a request from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office to contact a resident of the county and find out who was supposed to have their vehicle. Deputies spoke with the owner who told deputies that they had lent the vehicle, but they failed to return it. The victim requested the vehicle towed and person charged. The vehicle was impounded by the PCSO and HCSO deputies will file unauthorized use charges.—–

Deputies responded to a Blackjack Rd. residence where an object fell off of the seat of a golf cart, landed on the accelerator causing the golf cart to accelerate and hit a camper across the road.—–

Deputies received a request from the London Ohio Police Department to assist in locating a missing person who was suicidal. After investigating the matter for several hours, detectives located the person on Starr Route Rd. after an off duty deputy reported a suspicious person. Deputies transported to HVCH for evaluation.
