Circleville, Ohio — The 63rd Annual Tour of the Scioto River Valley (TOSRV) bicycle tour is set to take place on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22, 2024. Approximately 800 cyclists will embark on the journey from Canal Winchester at 6 a.m. on Saturday, tackling a scenic 12-hour ride to Portsmouth.

The cyclists will follow a carefully planned route through central Ohio, starting on Gender Road in Canal Winchester and continuing onto Canal Winchester South Road. From there, they will navigate through a series of local roads including Oregon Road and London-Lancaster Road, before entering Pickaway County.

The planned route includes Goodman Road, Madison Walnut Road, and Ett Noecker Road, leading cyclists to Ashville Fairfield Road and onto Winchester Road. They will pass through Circleville, following North Court Street to Morris Road and then navigating through several residential streets before making their way to East Main Street/US 22 and eventually onto Mill Road and Canal Road. The route continues south on State Route 104 into Ross County, passing through Chillicothe and culminating in Portsmouth.

Local law enforcement will be on hand to ensure the safety of both participants and motorists during the event. The Ohio State Highway Patrol urges residents to remain vigilant and respectful of the cyclists on the road.

For emergencies or any issues that arise during the tour, residents can contact the West Jefferson Dispatch Center at 740-983-2538 or dial #677.

This popular event not only showcases the beauty of the Scioto River Valley but also promotes cycling and community engagement in the region.
