$700,000 Approved to Expand Shawnee State Forest in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Controlling Board approved the release of $709,900 today for the Department of Natural Resources to expand Shawnee State Forest.

  • The funding will be used to acquire 250 acres of land in Scioto and Adams counties from The Nature Conservancy.
  • This is the first land acquisition under the H2Ohio Rivers program, funded by the H2Ohio Initiative.
