– An anonymous caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Little Bear Market on Harrison Street. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Short Stop on East Main Street. Officer identified the vehicle’s owner, and the scene checked OK.
– Officers assisted the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office in locating a subject in the 200 block of West Mill Street.
– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of York Street. Checked OK.
– A caller reported a male subject looking through cars in the 400 block of East Mound Street. Officer made contact with the male, who checked OK.
– A resident in the 300 block of Kingston Pike reported he keeps receiving phone calls asking him to send money. A report was taken.
– A 911 caller reported her daughter was screaming inside a residence in the 300 block of Maumee Drive. Officers made contact with the daughter, who checked OK. A report was taken.
– A resident in the 500 block of Gumm Place reported a theft from his vehicle. A report was taken.
– A resident in the 700 block of South Court Street reported he had been receiving threats. A report was taken on menacing.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 300 block of West Mound Street.
– Officers traveled to the Fayette County Jail to take custody of Hayden Gaines on two warrants from the Circleville Police Department.
– A resident in the 300 block of Watt Street reported his vehicle window had been damaged. A report was taken on criminal damage.
– Officers took a report on drug possession following a traffic stop in the area of South Washington and Third Avenue.
– The city’s canine unit was requested to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol in the 24000 block of U.S. Route 23 South.
– A resident in the 100 block of Seyfert Avenue advised she was scammed out of money from a man claiming her grandson was in jail. A report was taken on a scam.
– Officers responded to a 911 call from a male at Holiday Inn Express who advised the county dispatcher he thought there were people, possibly with a weapon, trying to break into vehicles in the parking lot. The scene checked OK, and the officer advised the noise the caller heard was an employee taking garbage to the dumpster.
