The Teays Valley Educational Foundation recently provided a grant of $6,500 to South Bloomfield Elementary School for the purchase of Chromebooks, which are laptops students use for assignments and assessments.
“We are very grateful for the generosity of TVEF in funding the purchase of an additional 20 Chromebooks for our building,” said Erin Crego, second grade teacher at South Bloomfield Elementary. “With these Chromebooks, more students will have the opportunity to learn and practice their technology and keyboarding skills so that they are better prepared for the 21st century. Also, this technology will provide our students the chance to work on research projects, type stories they have written or complete interventions to assist in their learning. The students always get excited when they get to work on computers.”
