Marvin L. Jenkins

Marvin Lewis Jenkins, 94, of New Kent, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in Virginia.

Marvin was born on April 28, 1921, in Circleville, to Lewis and Maude (Klingensmith) Jenkins.

Mr. Jenkins retired from Ralston Purina in Circleville after 44 ½ years of service and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Lions Club, American Legion and the VFW.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Badders) Jenkins; and by sisters, Rosemary Jenkins and Dorothy Dick.

Marvin is survived by daughters, Jill (Skip) Lutz of New Kent, Virginia, and Shelley (Bill) Gowdy of Cumming, Georgia; four grandchildren, Andrea Wilhoit and Ryan Lutz of Richmond, Virginia, and Trevor and Shelby Gowdy of Cumming, Georgia; nieces, Debbie Harvey, Diane Wilson and Janie Ebenhack; and nephew, Dan Dick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
