Irl McKnight, 89, of Kingston, left us early in the morning of May 21, 2015.
He was born Feb. 14, 1926, the son of the late Wyatt and Leona Tisdale McKnight.
Irl was a World War II Navy veteran and retired truck driver.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Mary; son, Terry (Pam) McKnight of Pensacola, Florida; daughter, Melinda (Ronald) Mullins of Columbia, South Carolina; son, Ron (Pam) McKnight of Kingston; eight grandchildren, Tim Mullins, Terry McKnight Jr., Christina McKnight, Billie Jo McKnight, Bradley McKnight, William McKnight, Amy Norpoth and Sakura McKnight; 16 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Geneve Jones; and several nieces nephews and cousins.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015, at the Prairie View Cemetery, Kingston.
