James Nelson Beesler Jr., 73, of Ashville went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2015.
Jim was born on Jan. 25, 1942, to parents James Nelson Sr. and Virginia (Crabtree) Beesler.
He grew up on Columbus’ west side and graduated from West High School in 1960. He was retired from UPS after 38 years, in which he was inducted as a member to the company’s elite safe driving group, “The Circle of Honor.”
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Beesler; and son, Craig.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Michael (Sandy) Beesler; loving wife, Hilda (Wears); children, Michael (Marianne) Beesler, Susan (Paul) Shaltry, Kristin (Matt) Yerkes and Staci Beesler; grandchildren, Lindsey (Brent) Milligen, Christopher Beesler, Max Shaltry and Olivia and Benjamin Yerkes; step-daughter, Sheila (Rick) Lanz and their children Cody (Courtney) Lanz, Trevor (Hannah) Lanz and Beau Lanz.
He will be remembered as a loving man of strong faith. He was a longtime member of Orient United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pickaway Manor Care Center, 391 Clark Dr., Circleville, OH 43113.
