Sharma Lee Hunter, 70, of Amanda, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015, at Lanfair Center.
She was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Circleville, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Marietta (Wilson) Callihan.
Sharma was a 1963 graduate of Circleville High School, a former teacher’s aide for Amanda Clearcreek Schools and a member of the Amanda United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jay Hunter; children, Lana (Marty Norris) Banker, Jason (Jenny) Hunter and Jarrod (Rachel Archer) Hunter all of Amanda; grandchildren, Ashley Gilbert, Alyssa Jenkins, Brock Banker, Andrew and Nathan Hunter, Jarrah Archer; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jade and Gage Gilbert; and sisters, Carolyn (Thomas Allen) Harper and Debbie (Phil) Stevens, both of Circleville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Callihan.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Terry Borah officiating. Burial followed in Forest Cemetery in Circleville. Friends visited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Sharma had a deep love for family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family suggests contributions to Amanda United Methodist Church in Sharma’s memory.
