– An employee at Coughlin Automotive reported a suspicious vehicle on the lot after hours. Officers made contact with the subjects, who advised they were going through the dumpster. They were advised to get permission from the business and do it during daylight hours.
– An employee at Berger Hospital requested an officer to transport a subject from an earlier traffic accident to the Circle of Light shelter on North Court Street.
– A resident in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported his son’s XBox1, controller and several games had been stolen. A report was taken on theft.
– A resident in the 700 block of South Court Street reported his juvenile son left the residence without permission with another male subject. The juveniles were located in the 500 block of East Mound Street and transported back to their homes. A report was taken on unruly juveniles.
– A resident in the 700 block of South Court Street reported two males were in her home without permission. The males were detailed, then released after being advised not to return to the property.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Roosters on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.
– A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding someone trying to get into his house on Pearl Alley. Officers advised the information was third-party, and the caller was advised to consult with his parents. Extra patrol was requested in the area.
– A caller requested an officer stand-by on McCulloch Avenue during an eviction process. The stand-by was completed.
– A caller reported a resident in the 300 block of Nutmeg left a garage door open, and they were unsure if anyone was home or not. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a male subject was staying in a rental property in the 1200 block of Turner Drive without permission. Officers determined a dog was inside the home, but no one answered the door and the residence was secure.
– An employee at Dollar General on Lancaster Pike reported a theft from the store.
– Officers performed a well-being check on Bolens Avenue. The subject checked OK.
– An officer marked out at Duke and Duchess on East Main Street with the probation department, who had recovered narcotics. A report was taken, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene to take custody of the prisoner.
– An employee at Spires Pesticides reported the company van backed into a parked vehicle at Watt and Court streets. The owner was not located, and a note was left on the car.
– A caller reported a male subject was walking down the middle of the roadway on Walnut Creek Pike. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in the 300 block of Watt Street. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.
– A resident in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported her estranged husband was there causing problems. The male left prior to the officer’s arrival, and a report was taken on a domestic dispute.
– A resident on Bolens Avenue requested an officer due to her daughter not leaving the residence. The female left prior to the officer’s arrival.
– An employee at Norfolk Southern reported several juveniles playing on empty train cars at the South Pickaway Street railroad crossing. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
– Officers responded to multiple reports of a property damage accident at Logan and Washington streets.
– A resident in the 1200 block of Turner Drive reported a kitchen fire. The fire department handled the scene.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident on East Water Street at North Pickaway.
– A resident in the 600 block of East Mound Street reported her daughter broke into her neighbor’s home, and her neighbor had photos to prove she did it. A supplemental report was taken.
– Officers responded to a complaint of loud music in the 300 block of Sumpter Alley. The resident was advised to turn the music down.
– A 911 caller reported finding a kitchen knife in the roadway at North Court Street and Rosewood Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the object.
– A caller reported a tenant who was evicted on McCulloch Avenue earlier in the day was trying to break into the residence. A report was taken on criminal trespassing.
– A resident in the 100 block of Logan Street reported a known subject stole her son’s bike and was now spray-painting it purple. A supplement was taken to the original report.
– A resident in the 100 block of Rosewood Avenue reported his ex-girlfriend had his mail and credit card and was refusing to give them back unless he paid her. Officers determined the theft occurred in the county, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office would be handling the incident.
– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported people were trying to start a fight with her son and blaming him for stealing a bike.
– An employee at Wellman Funeral Home on North Court Street reported someone was shooting a high-powered rifle somewhere behind the business. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
– A resident in the 100 block of Gale Court reported his daughter and boyfriend had his car keys and refused to return them. Officers determined it was a civil issue, and both parties were on the title.
– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of North Washington Street. A supplement was taken to the original report.
– An officer located a wallet at Ted Lewis Park. A report was taken on found property.
– Officers performed a well-being check in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– A resident in the 1400 block of North Court Street reported someone shooting a rifle behind the residence. The subjects were located and advised of city ordinances.
– Officers responded to a parking complaint at Berger Hospital on North Pickaway Street.
– A caller reported she was told people were stealing items out of her apartment in the 300 block of East Mound Street. Officers located no one inside the apartment, and the landlord advised the apartment had been vacant for weeks. A report was taken on breaking and entering.
– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office advised officers to be on the lookout for a vehicle that fled northbound on South Court Street following a theft at Walmart.
– A caller requested a well-being check on two juveniles who were supposed to be walking on Clinton Street with their mother, whom the caller believed was under the influence of narcotics. Officers were unable to locate the subjects.
– A resident in the 800 block of Kingston Court reported she arrived home and went inside her residence, and when she came back out to grab something, her car door was standing open and her wallet was missing. A report was taken on theft from a motor vehicle.
– Officers took a report on a curfew violation in the 400 block of East Mound Street.
– Officers took a report on underage alcohol with two subjects on Eva Drive. Summons will be issued.
July 21
– An officer marked out in the 100 block of Hayward Street with a group of juveniles including a female who matched the description of a reported runaway. All juveniles were released to their parents.
– A resident in the 700 block of Clinton Street reported the theft of items from his yard. A report was taken.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 900 block of Lynwood Avenue. The alarm company canceled the call.
– Officers responded to an injury accident in the 200 block of South Scioto Street.
– A caller reported a known female subject was possibly selling prescription drugs in the area of South Washington Street at Crites Road. The female checked OK.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Nationwide Insurance on East Main Street.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Rinehart Insurance on East Main Street.
– Extra patrol was requested in the 1400 block of Shagbark Street due to someone being seen snooping around the vehicle and recent damage to the mailbox.
– A caller reported a suspicious male carrying a flat screen TV northbound on Court Street from East Mound Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– Officers responded to reports of possible trespassing in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue. The scene checked OK.
– Officers responded to a narcotics complaint on Walnut Street. The subject checked OK.
– Officers performed a well-being check in the 600 block of East Mound Street. The subject checked OK.
– A 911 caller reported he was assaulted by a group of unknown males in front of his home in the 200 block of Pearl Alley. Circleville medics handled the scene, and a report was taken.
– A caller requested an officer stand-by in the 100 block of South Washington Street to get his son’s property from the residence. The stand-by was completed.
– A caller reported a couple yelling and cursing at each other in the alley behind the 100 block of Walnut Street, then they drove off with a child on top of the car. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
– A caller reported she drove past a group of juveniles on South Pickaway Street near Fourth Avenue who were carrying fake guns and pointing them at passing cars. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
– April M. Campfield, 29, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at Kroger on Lancaster Pike.
– Officers responded to a narcotics complaint in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
– Officers responded to reports of juveniles acting suspicious in the area of Pickaway and Town streets. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
– Officers were requested to provide mutual aid for the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office on a report of a male subject being followed and threatened by other males in the area of Dollar Tree on Circleville Plaza Drive. No report was taken.
– A resident in the 1100 block of South Washington Street requested to speak with an officer because he knew the location of items that had been stolen from him. A report was taken on theft.
– A caller reported an open garage door in the area and two suspicious males in the garage. Officers determined they were relatives of the homeowner, and the scene checked OK.
– A caller advised of a suspicious vehicle at Dollar General on Lancaster Pike. Officers determined they were working on the floors, and the scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a lot of smoke in the area of Mingo and Union streets. The fire department was requested to check an open burn in the 600 block of East Mound Street and make sure it was within regulations. All parties were advised not to let the fire get any bigger.
