Mary Frances “Fran” Peterson, 74, of Galion, passed away Friday afternoon, July 24, 2015, at Millcreek Nursing in Galion.
She was born June 4, 1941, in Circleville, and was the daughter of Charles Thomas and Catherine Ann (Brennan) Goeller.
Fran was a 1959 graduate of Rosary High School in Columbus and moved to Galion in 1972 from Fairborn. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion and had worked as a home health aid for Medcentral Hospital in Shelby for many years, retiring in 2006.
Fran was an avid reader and enjoyed studying Ohio history and ghost stories. She attended the Circleville Pumpkin Show many times and liked visiting the Hocking Hills area. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Bailey.
Fran is survived by her children, Heidi Zucchero of Galion, Liz (Andy) Daniels of Galion and Chuck (Becky) Peterson Jr. of Delaware; her three grandchildren, Frances (Jon) Swetnam of Zurich, Switzerland, James Jeremy Zucchero of Galion and Charles Thomas Peterson of Delaware; her two step-grandchildren, Rebekah Ann and Hannah Mae Daniels; her four great-grandchildren, Troy Edward Swetnam, Mason James Swetnam, Madison Rose Brandenburg and Blaike James Zucchero; and her two sisters, Katherine “Kate” Steadman of Greenville, South Carolina, and Sarah Margaret Lesikar of Alexandria, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Following her wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
