Walter W. Koch, age 89, of Ashville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at Genesis Care Center, Circleville.
He was born May 5, 1926, at Ashville, son of the late Charles W. and Lora (Hartley) Koch.
Walter was a self-employed carpenter, an Air Force veteran of WWII and member of Rick Brown Memorial Post VFW, South Bloomfield. He enjoyed time spent with the McDonalds Coffee Club.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Lou (Musselman) Koch; second wife, Lavada; daughter, Diane Koch; brothers, Robert and Charles Koch; sisters, Hazel Eccard, Cecil McPherson, Bertha Berry and Gladys Harrison.
He is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Ray) Fyke of Georgia; granddaughters, Tammy (Rex) Hardin of Logan, Tonya Moody of Georgia and Tenille (Jon) Partlow of Georgia.; nine great-grandchildren; and special friend, Rosie Roese of South Bloomfield.
The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4. 2015, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, where services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, with Pastor Floyd Hubbell officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
