WILLIAMSPORT – A home on Mill Street in Williamsport suffered heavy damage Wednesday in a fire reported about 9:49 a.m.
“The cause is undetermined right now, but it was possibly electrical,” said Chief Roger Peart, Southwest Pickaway Fire District.
Peart said a passerby notice smoke and flames coming from under the front porch of the residence at 301 Mill St. and called 911.
He said no one was in the house at the time, and no pets were discovered at the scene. The last firefighters cleared the scene at 1:10 p.m.
Southwest Pickaway Fire District was assisted by crews from Circleville, Harrison Township, Pickaway Township and New Holland.
Box65, the fire department auxiliary unit, also assisted at the scene, Peart said.
