August 6
– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported her husband saw some people around the back yard of the residence but could not provide a description. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
– A report was taken on drug paraphernalia after an officer stopped a subject in the alley behind Wittich’s on West High Street.
– A resident in the 100 block of Lowery Lane reported her 17-year-old son had broken her cell phone and a door into her room and had been pushing her. The juvenile left the residence prior to the officer’s arrival and ran from officers when he was approached. He was apprehended in front of the water tower on Logan Street. A report was taken on an unruly juvenile.
– A caller reported a missing man hole cover in the alley behind the 300 block of East Mound Street. The service department was notified.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident at East Main and Washington streets.
– Officers performed a well-being check in the 200 block of Sycamore Drive. The subject checked OK.
– A resident in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue reported she received a phone call that her estranged husband was walking around her residence and he was not supposed to be there. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a minor property damage accident at CVS on East Main Street. No report was taken by request.
– The Chillicothe Police Department requested officers make contact with a subject in the 400 block of Half Avenue and have him contact them. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– A resident in the 100 block of Hayward Street reported a known male subject was on the property and refusing to leave. The subject left prior to the officer’s arrival, and the caller was advised if he returned he would be charged with trespassing.
– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported some juveniles threatened to kill her dog. The information and threats were from a third-party source. No report was taken.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 100 block of West Main Street.
– A resident in the 400 block of Watt Street reported her step-father got in her face and was yelling at her. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.
– A 911 caller reported he saw a male subject passed out on the sidewalk in the 200 block of Logan Street, and he was then carried inside a house on Logan Street. Officers located the subject, who had a laceration to his finger. A medic was dispatched, but the subject refused treatment.
– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office requested an officer check the area of South Pickaway Street and Crites Road for a male who had bacon concealed in his pants from Walmart. The subject was located in the 1200 block of South Pickaway Street, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South Court Car Wash. The scene checked OK.
– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported two subjects just came to the residence and returned an iPad reported stolen last month. A supplemental report was taken.
August 7
– A caller reported hearing a female yelling in the alley between Logan and Walnut streets in the 100 block. The residents advised their juveniles were outside playing but were now inside. Nothing else was found in the area.
– An employee at Taco Bell on U.S. Route 23 reported a female keeps coming to the drive-thru, yelling and cursing at him that her order was incorrect. He stated he offered the female a refund but she refused and continued to yell at him. Officers located the vehicle leaving the area upon arrival and conducted a traffic stop in front of the Eagles. The subjects were advised and released from the scene.
– John W. Newsome was arrested for domestic violence and assault in the 400 block of East Main Street after a caller reported neighbors were fighting and their children came running to her house crying because they were scared.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at PICCA on East Ohio Street. The scene checked OK.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Savings Bank on Pinckney Street. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a female who appeared confused in the 400 block of East Mound Street. Medics arrived on the scene, and the female was transported to the hospital.
– Officers responded to a 911 call in which they could hear a female voice but no information was obtained. Officers checked the residence in the 300 block of East Franklin Street, and the subject checked OK.
– Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Walnut Street. The male subject left voluntarily for the day.
– Officers responded to two 911 hang-up calls in the 900 block of South Court Street. They were unable to locate the source.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 200 block of Harrison Avenue. No report was taken by request.
– A resident in the 500 block of South Pickaway Street reported he recovered a marijuana grinder. Officers located and disposed of the item.
– Officers responded to an injury accident in the 1200 block of North Court Street. Subjects were treated for injuries.
– A resident in the 200 block of Lewis Road reported someone broke into the residence but her child stopped the suspect and assaulted him. The suspect then fled on foot. The officer on the scene advised the incident occurred several hours earlier, and he could find no sign of forced entry. A report was taken on criminal damage.
– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported loud music in the area. Officers were unable to locate any noise.
– An employee at Martin Auto Sales reported threats and harassment against the business by unhappy customers. Information was obtained.
– A resident in the 300 block of Cedar Heights Road came to the police station to reports threats or harassment. The subject was advised.
– A resident in the 300 block of Watt Street reported her vehicle had been broken into and vandalized. A report was taken on criminal damaging.
– A resident in the 100 block of East Franklin Street reported a noise complaint due to neighbors yelling at each other all day. The officer advised the couple to keep the noise down while yelling back and forth to each other.
– A resident reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lowery Lane. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
– A resident in the 200 block of East High Street reported finding a syringe near his home. Officers located and disposed of the item.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Coughlin Automotive on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.
– David Griffin, 43, was arrested for OVI in the area of Clinton and Ohio streets.
– A resident in the 300 block of Ridgeview Drive reported someone had been stealing her mail. Officers could not advise if anything had actually been taken.
– Officers performed a well-being check in the Ohio Heights apartments. The subject checked OK.
– A caller reported a theft that occurred earlier at Twin Oaks apartments on South Court Street while he was playing basketball. A report was taken on theft.
– A caller reported he was struck by an orange paintball while riding his motorcycle in the 700 block of South Court Street. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– A resident in the 300 block of Weldon Avenue reported phone harassment. Officers advised there were no threats or harassment, and no report was taken.
– A resident in the 100 block of Rustic Drive reported he was assaulted by a known subject in the 100 block of South Western Avenue. A report was taken on menacing.
– An officer discovered an intoxicated male sleeping in a vehicle in the 100 block of South Western Avenue. The subject was picked up by a sober party.
