Nancy Louise (Shrewsbury) Clegg, 77, of Ashville and formerly of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, surrounded by her family at home.
She was born on June 22, 1938, in Quinwood, West Virginia, to the late James C. and Alma V. (Mace) Shrewsbury.
Nancy retired from the State of Ohio in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and also from Shownac Corp. in Columbus. She was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus.
Survivors include her husband, Isaac B. Clegg; daughters, Deborah Beatty of Lockbourne, Loretta Seltzer of South Bloomfield, Dee Linda (Tom) Allen and Tammy (Joe) Kirk, both of Ashville; sister, Nora Skinner of Lockbourne; grandchildren, Jenny, Melissa, Richard, Tiffany, Roger, Cassy, Joey, Marsha, Jeremy, Greg, Adam and Danielle; 23 great-grandchildren; four nieces, Michele, Saundra, Robin and Tina; nephew, Robert; and special friend, Pam.
She was preceded in death by son, Alvin Lee Lanthorn Jr.; grandchildren, Amy Collins and Derek Kirk; and brother and his wife, Robert N. and Pam Shrewsbury.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with a service at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating. Interment will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne.
