David Allen Whitten, 71, of Circleville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at his residence surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on Oct. 2, 1943, in Yellowbud, Ross County, to Howard “Cap” and Gladys (Lauerman) Whitten.
He retired from RCA after 30 years of service.
David was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Agnes Jane and Ann; brother, Dwight Whitten; and by nephew, Paul Whitten.
He is survived by his wife, Della “Pat” (Bennett) Whitten; sons, Kevin (Marcia Warth) and Neil (Angel Keeton) Whitten; sisters, Lois List and Janice Whitten; brothers, Howard (Gwen) and Bill Whitten; three grandchildren, Caitlynn, Makayla and Kylie; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and by caregivers, Georgia Furness and Robert Harris.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with burial to follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
