Ronald Luther List, born Dec. 25, 1932, in Circleville, died Sept. 29, 2015, at Wesley Ridge of Reynoldsburg.
He was preceded in death by father, Luther John List; mother, Dorothy (Wolfe) List; son, Stephen Ronald List; brother-in-law, Tom Huffines; son-in-law, Greg Markel; sister, Dorothy Raasch; brother-in-law, Don Raasch; and wife of 11 years, Janette (Koch) Comstock List.
Ronald graduated from Pickaway Twp. School in 1950. He attended Capital University and was a member of its Men’s Glee Club, member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 50 years and Elks #77 for 25 years. He also served as Washington Twp. trustee for 12 years.
Ronald was a retired farmer in Washington and Circleville Townships and had been employed 13 years by DuPont.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Jo Ann (Clark) Leatherwood of Circleville; daughters, Susan Markel of Columbus, Judith (Mark) Sweeney of Cincinnati and Marilyn (Patrick) Williams of Uncasville, Connecticut; grandchildren, Vallery Markel, David (Karis) Markel, Lyndsay Williams, Alina Williams and Julie Sweeney; siblings, David (Carolyn) List of Celina, Mark (Jeanette) List of Grove City and Brenda Huffines (Colleen Ernst) of Loveland; and special friend, Gerald Goode of Circleville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery adjacent to the farm where he grew up. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
