Darrell F. Kelley, 89, of Amanda, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015.
He was born Aug. 1, 1926, in Lancaster, and was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Sigler) Kelley.
Darrell was retired from GM after 39 years of service and a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Reba (Miller) Kelley; daughter, Jennifer Kelley of Lancaster; sons, Patrick Kelley of Amanda, Keith (Cheryl) Kelley of Chillicothe, Mike Kelley and Shawn Kelley, both of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three nephews, Ivan and Ned Reed and Jon Leatherwood; and a niece, Becky Dixon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Tim and Brian Kelley; daughter-in-law, Cheryl D. Kelley; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen (Ray) Kopper; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Winiford (Anna Ruth) Kelley and Thoburn (Marie) Kelley.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at Tarlton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions directed to Clearcreek Twp., Amanda Twp. or Salt Creek Twp. Volunteer Fire Departments.
The family would also like to thank Heartland Hospice and Caretenders for their care and support during Darrell’s illness.
