Marjorie Aileen Kinser, 96, formerly of Amanda, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at Bickford of Lancaster.
She was born March 11, 1919, in Amanda, and was the daughter of the late George and Lulu (Myers) Phillips.
Marjorie was a 1937 graduate of Amanda High School and was a member and captain of the girls basketball team. She retired as a cook for Amanda Clearcreek Schools, was a former member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Amanda and past member of O.E.S.
She is survived by three daughters, Vivian Stalder of Amanda, Martha Kennedy of Lancaster and Roselyn Robinson of New Haven, Indiana; grandchildren, David (Karen) Stalder, Tammy Smith, Larry (Judy) Kennedy, Tony (Lesa) Kennedy, Melisa (Larry) Vines, Mark Lendman and Jessica (Kevin) Bandy; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Kinser; grandson, Ron Stalder; sons-in-law, Larry Kennedy and Gail Stalder; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Diana Gugel officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
