Isaac B. Clegg Jr., 83, of Ashville and formerly of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at Doctors West Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1932, in Columbus, to the late Isaac B. Sr. and Golda (Burkhead) Clegg.
He was a graduate of East High School in Columbus and retired from S.M. Flickinger’s Trucking of Columbus with over 30 years of service. Ike was also a member of the Teamsters Local #284.
He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, James, Francis and Bernard; and step-son, Alvin Lee Lanthorn Jr.
He is survived by daughters, Deborah Beatty of Lockbourne, Loretta Seltzer of South Bloomfield, DeeLinda (Tom) Allen and Tammy (Joe) Kirk, both of Ashville; brothers, Charles Clegg of Pikerington and Joseph (Sharon) Clegg of Dublin; sister, Maxine Slyh of Powell; and special sister-in-law, Nora Skinner of Lockbourne; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with a service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating. Interment will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne.
