Ronald Dingus, age 77, of Orient, died Jan. 3, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Wakefield, son of the late Edward Dingus and Beulah Mae (Pritchard) Dingus.
He is survived by his loving family, which includes sister, Florence McConnell of Orient; half-brother, Charles Scaggs of Washington Court House; nieces and nephews, Penny Tackett Kilcourse, Harold Gene (Julie) Tackett, Michael Lee (Amy) Tackett, Helen (Steve) Roush, Erin Riley (Paul) Paige, Patrick (Starla) McConnell, John Scaggs, Jack (Marsha) Scaggs and Sharon Wall; numerous great nieces and nephews; and great-great.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Densil Wright officiating, with the interment following in Baileys Chapel Cemetery in Pike County. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
