COLUMBUS — State Representative Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) recently announced Taylor Glidden as the 92nd House District winner of the 2016 Ohio House of Representatives Student Art Exhibition.

Glidden attends Westfall High School in Williamsport and is taught by Kathryn Jones.

Glidden’s artwork is titled Fibonacci Flowers.

“I am always proud to see our students receive honors for their hard work, and Taylor’s art shows a true talent that exhibits superior quality,” Scherer said. “It is a beautiful piece of artwork, and it will be proudly displayed for all to see in 2016.”

The exhibition is open to the public at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in the lower level Statehouse connector from Jan. 3 through Dec. 30.

The Ohio House of Representatives, Ohio Arts Council and Ohio Art Education Association joined together for this inaugural student exhibition, which showcases high school artwork from all 99 Ohio House Districts. The exhibition recognizes the talents, creativity, and innovation of students who receive high quality arts education instruction as part of their academic experience in school and represents art by some of Ohio’s finest high school artists.
