Dancers from Charmion Performing Arts Center of Circleville competed March 5 and 6 at the Encore Talent Productions regional dance competition in Mason, winning top honors and multiple special awards.
A total of 17 studios, hundreds of individual dancers and more than 267 entries participated in the event.
As a result of their overall performance, the Charmion competition team has qualified for the Encore Talent Productions national competition in June.
Awards earned by Charmion dancers at the regional competition are:
GROUPS:
- “Going to the Chapel” (Graces Manes, McKyla Mathews, Olivia Mock, Brooke Scotti, Chelsey Streitenberger and Amelia Tarbill): Gold and eighth place overall, Petite Small Group.
- “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” (Maleah Gardner, Isabella Garner, Harper Kohli, Briseis Reategui and Naomi Stevens): High Gold and sixth place overall, Petite Small Group.
- “Cooties” (Allie Buckner, Jayden Hanrahan-Bruce, Quincy Lowery, Bailey Reid and Sydney Schultz): High Gold and third place overall, Junior Small Group.
- “Hard Knocked Life” (Maggie Gibson, Cierra Johnson, Natalie Keaton and Tabitha Skaggs): Gold and ninth place overall, Junior Small Group.
- “Jungle Rhythm” (Jenna Pence, Riley Rigsby, Emma Roberts, Corrine Sherrod and Shaeden Wymer): Gold, Petite Small Group.
- “Green Eggs & Ham” (Addison Lester, Emily Patrick, Ali Payton and Kyana Sponseller): High Gold, first place overall, Competitive Petite Small Group, Future Star Award.
