Judy George, 72, of Michigan, passed away on April 17, 2016, in Michigan.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1943, in Circleville, to Gerald and Hazel (Hamilton) Woodward.
She was a 1961 graduate of Circleville High School. In previous years she worked as an accountant at Pickaway Metropolitan Housing Authority and Chillicothe Metropolitan Housing Authority.
Judy had attended Community United Methodist Church, Emmanuel United Methodist Church, was a member of La Sertoma and was a past 4th of July Queen.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald “Woody”; and a son, Gary “G.R.” George.
Judy is survived by her mother, Hazel Woodward; her loving husband of 53 years, Gary George; her mother-in-law, Ruth George Musselman; sister-in-law, Cheree (Mel) Richards; daughter, Lisa (Rob) Slayton; grandchildren, Kirsten, Britnee Slayton, Nathan and Katelyn George; and by sister, Elaine Cook.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends were welcomed from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
