William E. White, 61, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 5:58 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, in Grant Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 2, 1954, in Gallipolis, to Edgar Jr. and Betty Willis White.
On Dec. 27, 1972, he married the former Brenda Hinty, who survives. Also surviving are children, William A. (Wendy) White of Waverly and Brenna (Jeremy) Ebert of Kingston; grandchildren, Haley and Heather White and Taylor and Jerry Ebert; a brother, Jim (Sherry) White of Lancaster; and sisters, Linda (Dick) Atwood of Chillicothe, Sue Griffin of Elsmore, Kentucky, and Debi White of Florence, Kentucky.
He was predeceased by his father, Edgar White Jr.; and mother and step-father, Betty and Charles McKinney.
William retired from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and was an EMT for Springfield Township Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, in the Ware Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with Pastor Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Circleville AMVETS Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
