Richard “Dick” Ptomey, 72, of Lockbourne, passed away at his residence on April 30, 2016.
He was born Jan. 19, 1944, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late John and Betty (Williamson) Ptomey.
Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ruth Ann (Houseman) Ptomey; daughters, Cheryl (Dr. David) Lasseter of Chesapeake, Virginia, Pamela (Owen) Channel of Newark and Kristine (Samuel Clanin) Bocook of Columbus; grandchildren, Ashley (Douglas) Burgess, Matthew Lasseter, Brittany Christman, Sarah Lasseter, Alexia (Kent) Sturgill, Jon Christman, Mahala Mitchell, Ava Bocook and Owen Channel; great-grandchildren, Joshua Michael Burgess, Kenleigh Renee Nutter and Emmett Jacob Burgess; special friends, Roger and Jane Diehl, Bill and Kate McManes, Robert and LeaAnn Hood and Randy Christman.
The family would like to thank Grace Hospice for their care during Richard’s illness.
