Steve Picklesimer, 62, of Amanda, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
He was born in Columbus on Nov. 1, 1953, to the late John and Minnie (Clevenger) Picklesimer.
Steve is survived by his wife, Jan Picklesimer; sons, Ryan (Lakeisha) Picklesimer and John (Brandy) Picklesimer; grandkids, Kylie, Lane and Ladarius; sister, Sharon (Ron) Smith; mother-in-law, Peg Rogers; Jan’s brothers and sisters, Mary Rogers, Jack and Cyndi Fox, Margie Kunkler, Tom and Jan Rogers, Vickie Rogers, Kelley Rogers and Cindy Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve was a craftsman at whatever he set his mind on. His skills were restoring cars, building houses, driving a semi and anything in between. Steve’s proudest moments were spent with his family. He especially valued the time spent with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or at the funeral home in Steve’s memory.
