Drew Douglas, age 75, of Amanda, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was born July 3, 1940, in Elk Valley, Tennessee, to the late Andrew and Elsie (Lay) Douglas.
Drew was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Trinidad “Heidi” (Sayes) Douglas of Makati, Philippines; children, James (Susan) Douglas of Ishpeming, Michigan, Janet (Roger) VanAbel of Marquestte, Michigan, and Laurianne Bell of Charlotte, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Douglas, Michelle (Jamie) Zellar, Jamie (Mike) Trelor, Joanne Uren, Suzanne (Ray) Hintsala, Jeremy Douglas, Angela VanAbel, Andrew VanAbel, Tyler Bell and Melina Bell; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Slone of Christopher, Illinois, and Jeanette Howell of Amanda; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Drew was preceded in death by 11 siblings and a son-in-law, Victor Bell.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with cremation to follow.
