Helen M. Stant, 89, of Circleville, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at Logan Elm Healthcare.
She was born July 3, 1926, in Ross County, the daughter of Daryl and Bessie (Wiley) Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Edith Miller, Esther Picklesimer and Florence Andrick; and brothers, Dale and William Miller.
Helen retired as a cook with the Logan Elm School District. She was an avid card player and enjoyed attending horse races with her husband and sons. Helen was very proud of her family and very much loved her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 70 ½ years, Shirley Stant; sons, Robert (Ginger) Stant, Larry (Joanne) Stant and John (Vickie) Stant; five grandchildren, Erin (Jason) Kirby and Tyler Stant, Christopher (Tara) Stant, Joanne Rooney and Kevin Jones; eight great-grandchildren, Grant and Paige Kirby, Zane, Cade, Rider and Drew Stant and Nicole (Colby) Scurlock, their son, Justin and Ryan Rooney; sister, Jean (Richard) Markel; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach Ministries, 6699 State Route 56 East, Circleville, OH 43113 or the charity of choice.
