Vernon T. Smith Jr., age 58, of Seminole, Florida, passed away at 11:55 Saturday, July 2, 2016.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1957, in Columbus, the only child to Vernon Smith and Barbara (Manning) Smith.
He loved to sit on his back patio, which was referred to as “Vern’s World,” watching NASCAR, Tampa Bay Rays baseball and Ohio State Buckeyes football, as well as fishing, bowling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 29 years, Rhonda (Johnson) Smith; daughter, Ashley Marie Smith of Seminole; his grandbabies, Liam, Addison and Kayden; and mother, Barbara.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling. Family will receive friends one hour prior to time of service. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
