Virginia (McCain) Hulse Turner, 86, of Circleville, died Aug. 2, 2016, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Circleville, she graduated from Circleville High School in 1948.
She devoted her life to raising her children and supporting Circleville as an active member of many community and church organizations.
Virginia shared her love of art through award winning window paintings. For her family and friends, she wrote poetry, illustrated short stories and created a 14 x 6 foot chalk mural farm scene in their home.
She is survived by her children, Michele D. Dicke (David), Columbus, William (Pete) H. Hulse III (Hewitt), Columbus, and Brian D. Hulse (Peggy), Green Bay, Wisconsin; brother, Robert McCain; sister, Phyllis (Donald) Imler; grandchildren, Andrew Hulse, Ann Hulse-Huffman, Matthew Morrison, Aaron Hulse and Kyle Hulse (Rebekah); four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Turner; son, Michael Hulse; granddaughter, Kim Groves; and friend, Richard Wintermute.
The family wishes to thank the staff at First Community Village and OhioHealth Hospice for their care during her final years.
A private family memorial will be held to remember her life.
