Herman Ellis Kull, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1926, in Fairfield County, to the late Frank and Mildred (Boerstler) Kull.
Herman was a member of Faith Memorial Church and a 1944 graduate of Amanda High School.
He was a lifelong farmer and retired from DuPont with over 31 years of service.
Herman is survived by his children, Sonia (Michael) Stoneburner of Lancaster, Dennis Kull, Scott (Sandy) Kull and Kelly (Heather Poston) Kull, all of Amanda; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sister, Gwendolyn Hoplite of Amanda; as well as two nieces and numerous friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Norris) Kull; two daughters, Pamela and Sue Kull; and daughter-in-law, Gayla Kull
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2106, at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Melvin Truex officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
