Joanne F. (O’Keefe) Scott, age 76, of Ashville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016.
She was born Dec. 25, 1939, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Eva (Fahlman) O’Keefe.
Joanne attended Unioto Schools but graduated from Catholic Central High School of Chillicothe and then Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton.
She worked as an RN and retired from Chillicothe Correctional & VA, then earned her CDL and drove a truck with her husband for several years.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 27 years, Richard K. Scott; children, Mark (Tonya) Minney of Circleville, Bradley (Danielle McNish) Minney of Bainbridge, Richard Scott Jr. of Johnstown, Don (Diane) Scott of Alexandria, D.J.(Tonya) Tharp of Newark and Heather Massey of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Gabriel Minney, Ashley Minney, Robin Hochstetler, Hailey Jo Minney, Jessica Minney, Brandon Gaines, Stephanie and Spencer Scott, Jake and Madison Rule and Skylar and Ethan Tharp; great-grandchildren, Rylee and Harper; brother, Terry (Diane) O’Keefe of Erie, Pennsylvania; sister, Sheila (Jim) Gee of Circleville; beloved pets, JJ and Hoppy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Following Joanne’s wishes, cremation and no memorial service will take place. Burial will occur at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Joanne to the American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation, or Stefanie Spielman Fund for breast cancer research.
