Nellie Maxine Rathburn, 92, formerly of Ashville, passed away on Sept. 8, 2016, at the Logan Elm Health Care Center in Circleville.
She was born on Aug. 12, 1924, in Beaver, to the late Everett and Sarah “Sadie” (Weaver) Drake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eldon Rathburn in 1972; and a brother, Wilbur Drake.
She is survived by a brother, William Henry Drake; her children, Terrie (Robert) Jones of Laurelville, Gerald (Cindy) Rathburn of Ashville and Larry (Connie) Rathburn of Circleville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
As per her request, there will be no services. Interment will be in the Harrison Township Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Logan Elm Health Care Center, Heartland Hospice Care and Dr. Singh for his care of Nellie, as well as the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home for their kindness, care and assistance.
