Shirley J. “Sam” Skowronek, age 70, went to her final rest with all her family by her side.
She was born on March 6, 1946, to the late Vivian Streitenberger and Lewis (Dottie) Huffines.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry J. Skowronek Jr.; brothers, Elmer Howard and Jake Rapp; and sister, Linda Sherman.

She had a passion and a green thumb with her flowers and house plants. She always enjoyed having company, laughter and happy times. She was a fantastic cook and loved to entertain!
She will be greatly missed by many, including her special sister, Vicki McNeal, who was always at her beck and call day or night, as well as her sister-in-law, Becky Howard, who truly was her dearest, best friend and confidante with whom she could laugh deeply for hours.
A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at the Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Shirley to the American Lung Association in Ohio, Columbus Chapter, 5900 Wilcox Place, Dublin, OH 43016.
