Annabelle Phillips Davis, 95, of Chillicothe, died 1:11 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at National Church Residences-Chillicothe.
She was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Cleveland, to the late William J. and Ethel McCathern (Riggle) Phillips.
Survivors include her children, James (Gale) McNeal and Gary (Marjie) McNeal of Chillicothe, Elizabeth (Mark) Puterbaugh of Trotwood and Debra (Melvin) Edgington of Circleville; 31 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd (Bud) Davis; a brother, Arnold Phillips; daughter, Sharon McNeal Finlay; grandchildren, Ronald “Bub” Taylor, Kim Allen McNeal, Frankie Joe McNeal, Gerald Phillip McNeal, Terry Lee McNeal and Sharon Ann McNeal; and a great-grandson, James Patrick McNeal.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a foster mother to many children, caring for as many as seven foster children in her home at one time.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Chillicothe. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Haller’s.
