Betty Heffner Kenworthy, 88, of Circleville, died April 30, 2017, at Riverside Hospital.
She was born March 17, 1929, in Pickaway County, the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Kaiser) Barr.
She attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
She worked several years at Columbia Gas and Walnut School. She was a member of O.E.S. #90, Pickaway Plains Daughters of American Revolution, Republican Womens Club, Roundtown Garden Club and served on the Board of Elections for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, John R. Heffner.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Kenworthy; children, Elizabeth (Charles) Kenworthy Hillyard and Gary (Marcia) Kenworthy; daughter-in-law, Lois Kenworthy; grandchildren, Bryan (Carol) Kenworthy, Paul (Wendi) Kenworthy, Benjamin (Angel) Hillyard, Daniel (Wendy) Hillyard, James Hillyard, David (Brittany) Hillyard, Nathan (Kara) Kenworthy and Mary-Crystal (Eric) Williams; 9 great-grandchildren; special cousins, Jay (Evelyn) Kaiser, John (Marilyn) Kaiser, Dean (Pat) Barr, James (Karin) Barr and Joyce Ann (John) Butts; nephew, Joe Cavalier; and special friends, Bonnie Neal, Connie Stoker and Gail Hanby.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
