At Walnut Elementary School, a student from each homeroom is chosen as the “Student of the Month” by the staff members at Walnut.
The students are recognized for improvement in grades or good grades, good attendance or improvement in attendance, character, behavior, attitude toward others/learning, good citizenship or improvement in citizenship, classroom participation, demonstrating responsibility and/or respectful to peers and teachers.
April “Students of the Month” are Kehlan Watterson, Deacon Kroeger and Liam Jordan, kindergarten; Kaleigh Fleshman, Trevor Ellis and Kloey Arnett, first grade; Elise Edwards, Grace Thanasack and Cole Cook, second grade; Ella Miles, Ava Ackerman and Isabella Wohnhas, third grade; Tyler Blankenship, Julia Bush and Isabella Garner, fourth grade; and Aidan Altizer, Alison Valdez and Hayden Underwood, fifth grade.
