Martin Floyd Garner passed away August 29, 2017, with his loving wife at his side. Martin was a graduate of Circleville High School, class of 1948. He was a Korean War veteran, who served his country proudly. Martin served in the Circleville Fire Department for 27 years, and Forest Cemetery for 27 years before retiring to enjoy his grandchildren. He was a loyal Member of American Legion for 70 years, as well as a Life Member American Veterans, and a member of Monumental Association.
He is preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Maizie Garner; brothers Ronald Garner, Walter Garner, Lawrence Garner, sisters Mabel Marie Garner, and Elsie (Lloyd) Martin.
Left to mourn his passing is wife of 63 years Waneta (Kuhn) Garner; brother Fred (Trudle) Garner, sisters-in-law Amelia Garner, Wilma Garner; son Mark (Joan) Garner, daughter Mary (David) Frea, grandchildren Bryan (Jaclyn) Frea, Dustin (Carra) Frea, Tecca (Dominic) Potina, Kim (Jeff Ackroyd) DeNero Ackroyd; and great-grandchildren James, Vincent, Anthony, Meghan, Matthew, and Paul, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M. at the Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, located at 151 East Main Street Circleville, Ohio, with his service following at 10:30 A.M on Friday, September 1st. David Frea will be officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Circleville, Ohio.
