October and November 2017 News Report

In October’s Wild Wild West 4-H club meeting, the club kicked off our 2017-2018 year giving out officer pins and awards and also elected new officers.
Courtney Thomas will serve as president of the club for the coming year. Thomas, a long time 4-H member, was elected at the meeting held at the Teays Valley West Middle School.
Other new officers elected for the 2017-2018 year are Vice President Grace Adkins, Secretary Lauren Sharrock, Treasurer Zach Helenthal, Historian Abby Baker, Health and Safety Evie Layton, News Reporter Hayden Hodges, and Recreational officer Delaney Sark.
November’s club meeting was held on Sunday, November 5th at the Teays Valley West Middle School. The club’s first community service event for this year will be to conduct a canned food drive and Christmas caroling in the West Scioto Green neighborhood in December.
The club also discussed and decided on new club T-shirts as well.
The next meeting will be held on December 10, where a potluck is planned.

The Wild Wild West 4-H Club held their last meeting on December 10th. At the meeting, the club enjoyed Christmas caroling through the West Scioto Green neighborhood in Commercial Point. In addition, food was also collected from the residents to support a local food pantry. After the Christmas caroling, the club also had a gift exchange.
There were also several community service events throughout the month which included helping the Commercial Point United Methodist Church by putting together Christmas food baskets and gifts for families in need.
The next meeting will be held on January 7th at the Teays Valley West Middle School at 6 pm.
