John K. Sharp 75 of So. Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at home with family at his side. He was born on Jan. 7, 1943 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Frank and Clara (Gladle) Sharp. John retired from PPG in Circleville after 38 years, served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Rickenbacker/Lockbourne Air Force Base. He was a graduate of Hillsboro H.S. class of 1961 and a member of the Circleville Moose. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and especially his grandsons. He was an avid Golfer, Fisherman, and Hunter. John loved to go to Palmetto, Florida where he and Patty would spend the winters their and John was Mr. Fixit helping friends and neighbors with projects around the park. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia K. (Roese) Sharp; sons, Johnny Jr. of Ashville and David of So. Bloomfield; daughter-in-law, Jamie Sharp of So. Bloomfield; grandsons, Jacob and Noah; special friends Kevin (Denise) Townsend of So. Bloomfield; brothers, Frank (Kathy) of Hillsboro, Fred (Bernice) of Lynchburg, Ralph (Lisa) Greenfield; sisters, Mary (Barry) Jordan and Mildred (Bob) Cramer both of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Family will receive friends on Tues. from 3-7 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wed. Feb. 28th with Rev. Floyd Hubbell and Rev. Don Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery. Family request in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Berger Hospice 600 N.
