According to Pickaway County Sheriff Robert B. Radcliff, on February 27, 2018 Deputies and Detectives from The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, The Circleville Police Department, US 23 Major Crimes Task Force, The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, and The Pike County Sheriff’s Office participated in a narcotics interdiction.
During the interdiction his Deputies made a traffic stop in Williamsport, Ohio on a Dodge Magnum that was driven by Rick J. Giffin of Circleville, Ohio. Also, in the Dodge Magnum was Courtney M. Young and Rick J. Giffin Jr. both of Circleville, Ohio. From the traffic stop Deputies were able to seize over 1 pound of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a substantial amount of cash. Rick Giffin was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Courtney Young was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana and a Probation Violation. Rick Giffin Jr. was charged with Probation Violation.
Deputies were able to apprehend Kathy J. Fields on Sheperd Road at a residence on an outstanding felony warrant out of Franklin County.
Throughout the rest of the day Deputies made other traffic stops that resulted other various citations.
