Beginning Saturday, March 24, the Pickaway County Family YMCA will offer FREE LUNCHES to children age 18 and younger. Saturday lunch will be served to any child in the community between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Children do not have to be members of the YMCA to get lunch.
“The YMCA of Central Ohio recognized a need in the community and is responding to that need,” said Executive Director Jeff Phillips. “It’s just another way for the YMCA to serve our community.” The Saturday lunch program will evolve into daily lunches in mid-June for the summer break. The YMCA plans to continue working with Pickaway County Community Action to provide busing to the Y for the summer lunch program, Phillips said.
